High Mountain Lodge 425 County Road 5001 |
The High Mountain Lodge, a bed and breakfast country inn near Winter Park, Colorado, is casual, comfortable, and welcoming to singles, couples, and families alike. Dogs with well-mannered owners enjoy the friendly atmosphere, too. All our rooms feature private baths and private entrances. Most have king-sized beds and fireplaces. The price of the room always includes a spectacular breakfast and a casual après-ski, bike, hike happy-hour every afternoon. During ski season, the room price also includes a simple supper in the evenings. We're located four miles west of Fraser, Colorado, in a quiet valley away from the traffic and all-night trains that regularly wake people up who stay in properties closer to town. Nevertheless, we're only ten miles from Winter Park ski area. Depending on traffic and weather, you can be on the lifts in 30 minutes. In the summertime, take advantage of the miles of mountain bike trails, hiking trails, and world-class golf-courses in our neighborhood. Like to fish? We have miles of gold medal waters. There's something to do all year 'round at the High Mountain Lodge. Our indoor atrium with its pool, sauna, and hot tub is a great place to relax after an active day of skiing, hiking, mountain biking, shopping, fishing, peak-bagging, or a round of golf. The atrium's rec room has a television with hundreds of satellite channels. You can also watch videos and DVDs from our extensive library. Play a game of pool, or curl up with a book; it's up to you. Start the day with a multi-course breakfast featuring homemade breads, fresh fruit, and egg dishes and meats that will keep your energy going for hours. We also are happy to serve a simple "First Tracks" breakfast for those wishing to make an early start. You won't have to go to town for an espresso, cappucino, latte, or macciatto, either, as we feature Italian-style coffee made authentically in our own coffee bar. Have dietary restrictions? With notice, we are happy to accommodate vegetarian, gluten free, diabetic, and other health-related diets. After a day of awesome adventures, we'll welcome you back to the Lodge with our après ski/bike/hike drinks and tasty treats. And during ski season (roughly mid-November through mid-April) we feature hearty, simple suppers that will have you stoked for the next day’s activities. Have questions? Don’t hesitate to call or send us e-mail. We'd love to hear from you! --Tom & Julie Beckwith, innkeepers |
