Winter Park Ski Area The entrance to Winter Park Ski Area is almost exactly ten miles to the inch from the front door of the High Mountain Lodge. Winter Park is one of the premier ski resorts in North America. It has one of the finest ski schools in the country (our son teaches there, so of course we think that, but it would be true even if we didn't have that connection). Winter Park led the way in adaptive skiiing for people with disabilities, and it is world-renowned for the quality of its snow and the wide variety of terrain, from gentle slopes for beginners to the most challenging double-diamond runs. From Thanksgiving through April 15, the High Mountain Lodge is your base of operations for skiing and other winter sports.

See our policies page for more on doggie daycare.
